Entrepreneurship and Innovation holds the promise of a better tomorrow. What is Entrepreneurship? Entrepreneurship is the study of how new businesses are created and what is the actual process of starting a new business. Someone who has an idea and who works to create a product or service that people will buy, by building an organization is an Entrepreneur. A startup is a company that is in the first stage of its operations.

Entrepreneurship Summits bring together entrepreneurs, investors, educators, government officials and startup ecosystem supporters to the world’s most important event on entrepreneurship. This year the Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017 held in Hyderabad presented a unique opportunity to connect and establish meaningful partnerships amongst entrepreneurs, investors and ecosystem supporters.

Hussain Harianawala, student of Symbiosis School of Economics (SSE) and his team ‘HYPERLOOP INDIA’ won the ‘HYPERLOOP ONE GLOBAL CHALLENGE’. The nerve-wrecking and fierce competition demanded a detailed and descriptive feasibility case study on the feasibility of such a technology in the country revolving around a potential route for India. The team successfully showcased and pitched the concept to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Advisor to the US President Ms Ivanka Trump and the Chief Minister of Telangana K. Chandrashekar Rao at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017 held in Hyderabad. The team has built India’s first ever Hyperloop Pod Prototype, namely “THE ORCAPOD” aligning with the pursuit and effort with the Make in India campaign.

Symbiosis has setup the Symbiosis Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation to promote entrepreneurship and foster innovation among the youth. This initiative aims to galvanize entrepreneurship in youngsters through inclusive innovation and bring together students, researchers, industry experts, budding entrepreneurs and policy-makers in a manner so as to enable them make a positive impact on the society…..
